16th May, last day before leaving

"All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go!!!"

 Now we have 10 suitcases in our classrooms. The bus to Helsinki leaves soon. We'll stay one night in the hotel. Our flight will leave tomorrow at 6.30 am. First we'll fly to Munich, Germany and there we'll take a plane to Tirana, Albania. After we have arrived we'll take a break and then we'll go to see the city.

Great! We just can't wait anymore!

13th May

Three days to our trip to Albania ! Mmm, it feels OK !!!






There are two pupils in our group who have never flown.It is an interesting experience for both of them.
We hope that we will meet local hard-of-hearing and deaf people. It's quite obvious that communication might be a little bit difficult at the beginning but we promise to handle that. Let's use pantomime if necessary !


 Let's hope that the trip will be a great experience for all of us.

May 6th

Before December we started to think about  our classtrip. We wanted to go abroad.
Our teacher suggested that we would go to Albania because she had been there before.

 Some of us had to check from the map where Albania is. Later we all agreed about going there. There we'll visit a school for the deaf. It will be interesting.

We started to plan our trip to Albania. First we had to count how much money we'll need. We tried to get different kinds of grants but we also started a cafeteria once a week.

We also baked cakes and sold them. We'll also organize a lottery. We'll be able to get enough money.

The school we're going to visit is in Tirana, the capital of Albania. We'll leave on the 17th of May and we'll come back on the 22nd.

There will be six pupils, four teachers and one signlanguage interpreter in our group. We'll tell them about Finnish deaf education and sign language.
